waste of money...you should have did the J-mod. Search over on www.tccoa.com for info on it and why off the shelf shift kits are actually bad for 4R70w's

WTF are you talking about? The transgo kit is one of the best mods you can do to an auto, aside from a converter. I browsed that site for a while and it just proves this, yea, you can do the J-mod, but a shift kit is easier and the site says nothing about it being bad, it also states it is the best kit out there.

Here you go read up...pay attention to post #20 its from Jerry (the J in J mod) he's the Ford engineer who designed our 4R70W automatic transmissions and i've read many times how he hates Transgo and other shift kits because they fry up clutches, add heat and drill the seperator plate in the wrong place...

OK, it does not say the transgo is bad in that post, it says that one guy burned a clutch with it,,,,,,, I agree the J-mod is good, but it is more difficult than doing the transgo kit. I have the transgo HD-2 kit for my car, yet to be installed but everyone reccomended this over any other kit or mod. Also read the tech articles on the site the trans. section mentions how the transgo is the best kit!!!!

Also to answer the original question, all you need to do is make sure you set plenty of time aside, be prepared for some stuff to be harder than you think and follow the instructions, In my opinion, it is a great buy and mod for your auto stang!!! Good Luck with it.

Like I said, follow the instructions to a T, be careful, cause it is very easy to screw it up, if that happens you could have bad luck. But installed properly, youll be fine
