St4ng07, have you heard anything about the Patriot's? I've been looking at them for the longest time, but I just don't think they are worth the money. I'm kind of debating just getting pi heads and having them ported or the Patriots, but I leaning way to the PI heads..

put it this way, have you ever seen a 98 race a 99-04? It looks like a LS1 racing a Pi 2v
Heck, a '93 LT-1 could run with a PI 2V...

yeah right, lets see you race an LS1 motor to motor then and you let me no the results. BTW the 04 GT only made 214 to the wheels in stock trim.
I did race a LS1 motor to motor (well alot more than one but this one is on video), here ya go:

http://videos.streetfire.net/Player....F-629C2D2957FE

It took alot of boltons, but thats kinda the point. No chance a stock 2v will run a stock Ls1, and no chance a stock NPI car will run a stock PI car if the drivers are anything close to equal.

I dunno where you are hearing a 214 WHP number for a stock 99-04. The avearge numbers are 225 to 235 WHP. you might see 214 on a mustang dyno, but I don't even want to think about what a poor NPI car would put down on a mustang dyno (170 ish?)

Check out the latest issue of MM&FF, and look at the dyno curve of the stock project RSC. Its embarassing, the peak power was 196 WHP, but the torque curve is simply non exsistant over about 4000 rpm, and peak power was made at about 4500 RPM, then falls off after that. They didn't bother taking it past 5500 RPM it was falling off so fast. Comparing this to a stock PI dyno would really show you the difference. Its not all about the peak whp numbers, but power under the curve. My GT pulled to about 5500 RPM and still had decent power all the way to redline, not to mention the torque curve was acutally very flat.

Besides all of this, the NPI cars simply don't respond to boltons. I would have to get the back issue out to look up the specific numbers, but I don't think they made more than 210 WHP with full ehxaust (w/ LTs) and intake boltons. They acutally LOST power from a few of the intake boltons because the car could not take advantage of the bigger than stock stuff (and the velocity slowed down).

They don't call the NPI cars the slowest GT models ever made for nothing.

You know people take the SN-95 4.6ers for granted and comming from first hand experience if you own an sn-95 4.6 dont waste your money on bolt ons right now save save save for a PI swap before my PI swap yea i beat a couple of new edge mustangs i'll be honest with you but not by much and it was probably cause of driver but now i just finished my full PI swap with ported heads and holy hell wat a difference! my current setup is the PI swap ported heads H-pip 3 inch exhaust no cats cold and and a short shifter and i beat a 5.0 with a cam cobra intake flows and by alot! then i beat an SRT-4 and those are pretty quick and trust me i've had my fun with the new edge mustangs. wat i love about it is everyone with a new edge mustang will look down to you, the sn-95 is an under dog and when i romp on new edges they cant believe they got beat by a sn-95 and when they open the hood and look that its all stock the face they make is just priceless! then they go and take it back to the dealer and tell them that they got beat by a sn-95

You beat new edge with superchip/midpipe/CAI? Thats not too bad for a NPI motor.
I think he was running into some bad 99-04 drivers.

If a NPI car with that setup makes 200 WHP I would be highly suprised.
whoa i can beat a mostly stock new edge, have done it a few times street and strip.
