RE: another intake manifold
The problem w/ that is, they could design something that worked well in the mid-range, but then you'd lose some of our already anemic bottom end , and you'd lose all of the top end..
A manifold that was designed for the RPM range I believe your thinking of, would be sort of, well, a waste.. It's been proven that our intakes, however weak in material, are good to 500+hp w/ out sacrificing anything but a little bottom end?? Why mess up a good thing??
You'd be better off making your engine utilize your current RPM band, and if you want to go bigger, then move on up to something like the P-51, or Edelbrock..

RE: another intake manifold
i havent seen a good intake yet... that intake looks like it is meant to fit a carb on it.... but then i see it says its got like an elbow for the tb. looks more like a mid range power manifold... may do good with a boosted car though, seems expensive though for its style... something like that for like a normal non modular motor is under 300.

RE: another intake manifold
If you look at the small picture on the top left hand side, it shows what looks similar to the Accufab Upper Plenum, and you get a TB Adapter plate, I believe. I didn't Click to Enlarge. Not too bad of a deal. I wonder if you get gaskets too...
The good thing though, about this specific intake, is you can extrude hone it a time or 2 over, and really make it worthwhile.. Screw porting that much metal, unless you had a lot of time on your hands, and a few machine shop tools to help...

The did mention that you get the upper Plenum as well... Still not too bad of a deal...
