I once drove a Mustang that was lowered 1.5" in the front and 2" in the back. The owner put 18" rims on the car, and it felt like riding in a carriage on a cobblestone road. After that harsh ride, I'm no longer a fan of lowering Mustangs... not to mention the fact that your exhaust will scrape every time you go over a speed bump, and it sounds like ****.

I would look into the Eibach Pro Kit, lowers between 1" and 1.5", and is under $200 and the install is simple with the right tools. Nothing else needed, everything included.

+1

Not too low and if you pair it up with some good shocks/struts your ride won't be too rough at all..

Here is my how to do the front end along with before and after pics. The ride was pretty rough for the first couple of days but once the springs got settled it smoothed out a ton to where you only notice the roughness if you are going one hell of a bumpy road.

How to Lower the Front End

I used to be a fan of Eibach but their are just way too many guys bitching about their springs sagging after only a year or two and switching to H&R or Steeda.

So you would probably enjoy the Bullitt suspension kit then. Lowers alittle for looks...about .75 to 1.0 inch and still retains stock ride quality being that its the oem suspension on the Bullitt and Mach 1 but it realy inceases the handleing and decreases body roll and brake dive. Its a great compromise suspension package.

if you don't want it really low, and you want to save a few bucks, get the ford racing springs. they are the cheap and they are a name you trust (maybe).
