Default Exhaust..

I have a stock 96 (Auto=( ) GT. I noticed I have 6 cats under my car.. Should I get rid of 4 and put magnaflow cat-bac? What would you recommend me doing to increase my performance?

Get a catback and catlytic x pipe. i would recommend Dynomax, SLP, or Magnaflow.

I have a 98 Gt and i got rid of all my cats and run flowmaster cat backs. Im sure people are going to posts all about how much flowmasters suck. But i really dont mind them. It sounds awesome.

flowmaster doesnt suck if you get them for the right reason. they have a unique sound which alotta people enjoy, their just not much of a performance muffler - and thats the big misconception - just don't expect much of a performance increase with them and like them for their sound.

Yeah Flows don't flow that great but hell they sound great! I only like them on Mustangs though...I would never put Flows on my hot rods.

Dude definitely get rid of those damn cats. I just put my stock catted H-pipe back on yesterday because I have to smog the car real soon and even with the Flowmaster cat-back, the car sounds stock! I mean I know the off-road X-pipe I have makes it louder, but seriously, you would never believe how much louder and better your car will sound without cats. I never heard the Flows on my stock H-pipe so I didn't know what to expect...but damn, I was blown away. [:-]

Anyway catless pipes cost less than catted pipes also, so spend a couple hours and do the swap if you have to smog, because it's worth it, trust me.
