I believe it's with the TPS... you have to loosen it and get the signal voltage to come to the right value. Can't recall what it is for the mustang... but that will make the idle high or low

There should be a little pin on the throttle body. I think you can just take some vise grips and turn that to adjust your idle. This will adjust the opening of the throttle body fin.

I install a Accufab T/B and plenum on my mustang gt and never had to adjust the TPS. It still idles around 700-900 rpm.

Did you reset the computer (disconnect the battery)? Otherwise, it sounds like your TPS isn't aligned properly, as mentioned.

What kind of TB/Plenum did you install?

OK first off do you have a haynes repair manual? Turn to page 6-12 its at the bottom right of that page. Throttle Position Snesor (TPS). What you want to do is take two paper clips, and straighten then out. Then stick on paper clip in the back side of the TPS sensor, where the wires hook into the weather tight connector. This is called back probing. Stick one paper clip along side of each wire. Then start the engine. Then get a Digital Volt Ohm Meter, and set it to DC voltage and connect one lead to one of the paper clips and the other lead to the other paper clip. The voltage should read 0.50 - 1.0 volt at idle and at full throttle should be 4.0-5.0 volts. When I set up my car I set my TPS sensor to 0.96 volts at idle, worked well for me but you may have different results. To change the voltage you just loosen the two bolts and rotate the TPS sensor clockwise or counter clockwise to raise or lower the RPM's. I dont remember which way does which but you will find out real quick just by hearing your motor. Good Luck....
