Default Bullitt Fuel Door

mustangtuning.com has a Bullitt fuel door on sale right now. It says it is for any 99-03 Mustang. All the other fuel doors they sell say they fit 94-03 Mustangs.

Does anyone know why the difference? Could it be a typo? I have a 98 and I like the sale price they have now but I don't want to get it if it won't work.

I tried calling their 800 number, but didn't get an answer. I will keep trying to contact them, but I wanted to get some other opinions as well.

Nope not the same but very close. The rear quarter on a 99+ stang is different then 96-98 stangs but only a little. It will fit but probably not perfect.

Thanks for the input. I did some more internet searching and decided to pull the trigger on the buy. Hopefully it works out.

Just an update. Silver, you were dead on. The door fits but it isn't perfect. The back end of the new fuel door sticks out about an 1/8" from being flush with the rear quarter panel. I'm still happy with the purchase though.

i think its cheaper just to go to the dealership whe no one is there and take on right off the lot. That's how i got mine and Ford won't miss their a corporation with billions. I say go get'em for free

Sure it is cheaper, but that's illegal and can get you thrown in jail. Let's try not to promote such actions. People who do that stuff give the rest who don't bad reputations.

If you don't have the 60-70 bucks to buy it you don't really need it.
