Default what the hell??

A couple of weeks ago I couldn't get my windshield wipers to work at all. I checked the fuses and the relays and they were all good so I just said alright this sucks but I'm not ready to leave my car at the dealership for a week and a half so they can tinker around with it.
Then the other day when I was sitting in traffic trying to get home the wipers just start going by themselves for a minute and the switch is off. That was nice, I looked like a total tard running my wipers in 90 degree weather with nothing on my windshield.
Has anybody else had this problem or is it just my car that is possessed?

Ugggggh, shorts are terrible. Sounds like a problem you should take up with your dealer. It's a really crappy situation because the dealer won't even bother touching your car unless they can get the problem to repeat itself there.

It may be something as simple as a faulty blinker/wiper stalk...

yeah... they will sign you off as "could not duplicate problem" and send you on your way! I hate that.

I don't know how much you trust your local dealership, like you said you could just drop it off and say here are the keys, keep it here until you fix it...

But my bad experience with my 02 GT, left it at the dealership to have all my emissions problems fixed by them, came back at night to check on my car & it wasn't on the lot or in their garage. Needless to say, the manager got reamed and I had a message on my cell phone from the owner..

Yeah,i work at a dealership and justlke everyone said. If the problem isnt there when we get in it. we say could not duplicate. And yeah sometimes we do have the manager, or the tech drive a customers car/truck home for certain reasons. But not before we contact the customer. I'll do some looking into youre prblem and get back.

wow... those people would be fixin' stuff for free for a long time. There is no way in hell I would let someone take my baby out fro under me like that. (no offense to you dan) I sit there and watch ALL the maintenance done to my ride since I dont have the resources to do it my self.

Man, if he would have wrecked it you could have owned that dealership! [sm=smiley36.gif][sm=smiley36.gif][sm=smiley36.gif][sm=smiley36.gif][sm=smiley36.gif][sm=smiley20.gif]
