as u guys know im lookin to buy a car, perferbally 2001.5+ ive found an 01 but do not know and neither does the owner if its the newer one, i have the vin, which digit tells me when the car was produced.

If you actually look inside the drivers door jam, the sticker on the inside will have the production date at the very top.

basically you have an 01, but there is a month with it on the inside door panel of the drivers side. like mine says 02/01. february 01.

so from wat month did ford start makin the 01.5+ with the 3650 tranny.

I really dont know, but you can tell by looking at that same sticker I describe in the drivers side door, and under "TR" (standing for transmission) if you have a "K" that is a 3650. If you have a "6" that is a T-45 I think. If you want the 3650, it will have a "K"
