Rear end Gear Install

Rear end Gear Install
Im chaging my gears to a set of 4.10. How hard is it to install the gears myself? Im an engineer and I have mechanical knowledge and the tools. Ive never installed a rear end ring and pinion though. The only special tools I would imagine I would need are; torque wrench, micrometer and gear puller. Anything else special? Anybody have a link to a rear end install?

You have to indicate them. Its not worth it to do it yourself when you can pay a performance shop a few hundred to do the install. Its a pain.
Of everything done to my car, the gears are the only thing I have had installed.

Check out a few websites on gear installation, or maybe pick up a Helm manual or Ford shop manual for your car. They are great books, and although a little expensive, cover EVERYTHING about your car. I think you'll need a magnetic base dial indicator to do it, and you can get one for only $25 at Summit Racing, and it's good quality.
