crackling at high RPM

crackling at high RPM
Now that the other issue has been fixed...
I have another one, but this has been going on ever since I had the car. At high engine RPM my engine, or something from the engine bay anyway, starts to crackle. I have no idea what it could be.
Any suggestions?

RE: crackling at high RPM
High RPM detonation could be heard as a crackling kinda' sound. If the Predator tune calls for 92 octane this might be the source.
If you can get to a dyno,do a couple of pulls to see for sure. The power curve will drop off or flatten out as the detonation begins.

If you are running at least 91 octane, you shouldnt be having any kind of detonation problems. Clean you MAF sensor and make sure the intake tube isnt leaking air anywhere. Also clean your IAT sensor if you have one. Make sure theres no vaccum leaks and you should be fine.

RE: crackling at high RPM
I always use 93 octane gas (either from Shell, BP, or Exxon).
Is there anything else I can do/check besides cleaning/checking the MAF and IAT?
Also, I rev the motor at high RPM in park, and I don't hear that noise. Could it just be vibration, or does the engine need to have a load?

RE: crackling at high RPM
unless u have different heads, u should just be using regular unleaded, and this is wut a ford mechanic told me, he said that it will do more bad than good if u run a higher octane
