Default Fords new triple valve vs. DOHC 32v cobra plat.

Which motor do you prefer and why? Which has the most potential and which is stronger/better for modding?

I guess this could be a Mach1 vs. 06 GT thing too .

The 3v is a nice step up from the 2V but the 4V is still king.
Now the 2V is no slouch when done right....can easily have a 500hp 2V. (not NA) [8D]

Well..

The below video shows you how one another do..

Both cars had air intakes, both cars had exhaust work, both cars had 4.10s and both cars had a tuner..

Pretty close IMO.. The 3V jumps almost every time but the 4V catces up..

Quote:
stock 2v flow = 169cfm
stock 3v flow = 229cfm
stock 4v flow = 259cfm

ported 2v = 210-240 cfm
ported 3v = 269cfm @ .6 : livernois claims 279cfm
ported 4v = 330+ cfm
Don't need to say any more. A ported 3v can BARELY outflow a stock 4v.

Add 2V ported SVO/FRPP heads to your list...Renegade Racing and Steen can get up to 280cfm from them.

i still wanna see who can get 300+ CFM from a 4v head at a .500 lift. i hate these companies that advertise at .550 lifts for 4v heads considrering nobody makes a camshaft that has over a .500 lift for the 4v that ive seen. my cams have a .474 lift. thats what iminterested in not at .550
