All I know is that the mach1 has 305hp on the specs, but when you dyno it, comes up with an actual 347hp and 357torque

Although i love the mach1, it would take a factory FREAK to make those kind of numbers. On average they seem to make about 320-325hp and about 345 tq.

I would go with the mach1,maby you will shell out a little more cash but some things in life are worth it.Lets face it the gt's are not what they used to be,so many imports and even sadans are pushing 250 horse power.Ford knows this thats why the new base hp will be 300.The mach1 is a performer and it stands out from other stangs imo.Besides you dont see shakers anymore, thats was what really sold me.

Besides unless you plan on keeping your stang for life you may want to sell it and get and new car one day,and believe me you will get more for your mach than you will a gt.I hope you dont pass this chance up but what ever you choose i hope you enjoy your new stang

P.S,I hope no gt owners took offence to my comments i ment do disrespect.

No offense taken but the statement about getting more in the future... Kinda makes sense since ya pay more now .

Mustangs are meant to be modded Its what they are built for.

I ment that mach1's will hold there value much more than a gt mustang will.

I really wish they used forgrd internals in the Mach like the Cobra. If you want to add a poweradder to a Mach, you're in the same boat as a GT, you're 'rev' limited to the crappy internals. I think for the difference in price, the GT is the way to go, especially if you want to add a poweradder. 4v vs. 2v., it doesn't matter, you're still limited by the ****ty internals, hp-wise. Now if you want to re-do the bottom end on the Mach, the 4v makes sense, but the nature of the Mach is for collectors, so modding would hurt the resale value more than a GT -(the Mach is more collectable than the GT). To me, it seems to make the Mach a catch 22, $ wise.

Ya birdie I agree, But the mach 1 and the new 2005 mustangs are higher compression. I think 10:1. So that means they are not blower friendly. Plus the iron block can take more pressure than the aluminum ones.

yes. the mach 1 is worth the extra cash. Price vs. performance the only thing close is a cobra imo.

The new Mustang has more HP because the wheel base increased & so did it's curb weight.
