i just got a 2000 mustang gt " auto " all " stock ", wanted to find out what car's would beat me or match my speed stock, my dad is gonna help me mod the car by adding underdrive pully's, chip, k/n filter later on.... not to long lol. i would also like to know what my car stock will do in the 1/4 mile. thanks for your help and im glad to join the forum.

All of those cars besides the RX8,RX7 & LS1 will be a drivers race.

A typical automatic driver should post a 14.5 or so. Some have hit 14.0's stock.

But, don't get too excited. If those other cars are equipped with manuals and a capable driver, you will run into trouble..

You should totally violate an RX8, I thought I should clear that up before someone chimes in and get's confused.

why did you get an auto... just curious- i have a jeep a dakota and no a mustang... all stick. i dont know what its like to drive an auto-any reason in particular that you got an auto

well my dad owned mustang gt's all his life and he got me this mustang gt for me " im 17 " and most of his stangs were stick's except for a convertible gt he had, he got the auto because he said i would hate shifting in traffic and also i dont know how to drive a stick and i dont have my liscense yet.... before anyone say's why dont i have a liscense his because im kinda nervouse about getting behind a wheel and driving because it's a big responsiblity to have. im gonna wait till my 18th birthday to actually drive.. but im gonna practice. my parents told me i drive fine but i think other lol. well thanks for your help guy's and ill ttyl

Don't worry. An auto will be faster than most manuals with a stall and some gears. Unless someone here can outshift a machine....

You should take the rx8. The rx7, 350z, lt1, s2k and the cobra will be drivers race. The ls1 auto or stick, you dont have much of a chance.
