Default 4v GT? How?

K there is an identical post on here about changing the 2v gt into a 3v. Is it possible to put cobra heads on my GT engine? Because its the "modular" engine does it just bolt on with no worries? What all is involved in the process? What other items would need to be upgraded and or changed?

Basicaly Im asking every bit of info on doing a 4v swap on my 2004 GT. Thanks

it can be done and has been done, but is a royal headache. like i said 10 times in the other post, your best bet is to buy a complete cobra motor. they arent expensive these days.

How not expensive though? And If I just buy a Cobra motor the only thing involved in the swap would be the motor and cpu right?

Swap the motor and save the $ of more fabrication for a 4v and you get to rev higher and have dohc

motor, ecu. harness, hydra boost system (factory vacuum brake booster wont clear 4v heads)

So what would the final cost for the switch be if I wanted to get a '03 cobra engine put into my GT, Nomo?

depends how cheap you can find the motor for, and if you want the 6 speed. the break booster shouldnt be to expensive, my guess would be 100 bucks at the local junk yard.

I would love to pick that up. Just seems like a lot of work to get it into my ride.

well you say the ecu and the brake ooster would have to be changed out. Then you have to install the motor and have it all hooked up. Could you do it RIGHT over the weekend. If not, how long would it take from the get go?
