My friend with a bone stock 01 Prelude wants to race me. I have a 96 GT with flowmaster catback and steeda tri-ax any idea how close the race would be and who would win?

Prob be pretty close. I ran one in my Maxima that an exhaust....not sure if anything else, and we ran pretty much dead even.

If you can drive that manual, I think you'll win.

Damn, the one I ran I ran twice. First time from about a 10mph kick which I pulled about half a car, then the second from about 35mph, which my ****ty slushbox wouldn't downshift, hence him pulling me. He had exhaust like I said, not a fart can, but full exhaust, who knows if anything else. But hell, I've pulled 96-98GT's in that car.

Only thing I'm concerned with is traction. My car serioulsly can not grab for ****. If I revv up to 2000 rpms then dump the clutch it will spin really bad. I dont know if feathering the clutch will help or not.

You NEVER want to dump the clutch! Thats what Newbies do! LOL Just rev it up to what you like and when its time to roll then slowly release it till you are all the way out of clutch and all the way down on the gas. Never just pop the clutch.

Yea feathering the clutch. I'm just not sure how much that will help over just starting up like I normally would if I was driving regular on the streets.

I dunno it's hard to tell if it's a DOHC VTEC prelude, and it's stock it runs 15.4s. Apparently 95-96 GTs run 15.2s. So I dunno. Drivers race.

Why is this in here?

This isnt exactly true. If you are running D/Rs popping the clutch is usually faster than any other method. If I rev to 3k, and then pop the clutch hard (after the nittos are heated up) I lauch like a ****.
