'00 Heads on my '96 GT?
I know the later model heads flow much better than those in my '96, and i know a guy with a set off of his 2000 that he'd be willing to toss my way pretty cheap, i understand that in order to install them, i'd need to buy a compatible intake manifold, but i was wondering if there were other complications i'd need to take into account? i intend to replace my upper intake plenum, but if need be, will my '96 plenum bolt up to the lower intake manifold if i can't come up with the dough for the new upper plenum right away?
I'd also like to ask what type of gains i can expect from the '00 heads? I know that PI heads can account for some pretty substantial gains, but as far as particular figures go for these two applications, i'm at a bit of a loss...
thanks for any help you guys can provide me
if it's of any concern, i recently bought my GT, and have installed a full exhaust, a cold air intake, under-drive pulleys, tokico struts and an eibach pro kit (1.5" drop) with polyurethane strut mounts, bump stop, and sway bar end links and a set of offset steering rack bushings. i've got subframe connectors, a zex nitrous kit, and a king cobra clutch awaiting installation, just as soon as i can get the time off to spend in the garage

RE: '00 Heads on my '96 GT?
heads, cams, intake swap is worth approx 60 rwhp - gotta run 91 octane mandatory after though, compression will be 10.5:1 after. The headswap is straight foward, but get an online guide before you start - ive seen one somewhere but cant remember where.

i always run 91 anyway, as habit from my turbocharged talon that i built a few years ago the heads he's selling me are complete, when you say heads, cams and intake are good for that, do you mean the cams that come with it? i can still upgrade to cam with a bit more radical of a lobe and have an even more significant gain right?
thanks for being so prompt!
