Times look about right to me... My best run was 14.5

Granted your car probably has more potential in it... for your first time i would say you did fine...

As long as you had fun and didnt brake anything... thats all that matters.

I personally think if you got in the low to mid 14's wth what you have, you should be happy. You possibly could get a dyno tune(if no already) and get an aggressive tune to try and get you closer, but even with that, you'll still be low 14's.

You're being WAY to hard on your performance.

14.3 is not great, but it's better than alot of other people did their first time out.. coughcough*me*cough....

I know someone with a 99GT 5sp, went his first time with intake work, MAC o/r H, Borla Catback, 4.10's and street tires, and went 14.545@99.37 w/ 2.226 60'

man, he sucked.. so you did better than some people did..that same person is down to a 13.9 on a still crappy 2.149 60'.. he just had to work on his shifting..

I bet.. I mean HE bets that if you work on your launch and shifting, and maybe add in some DR's, you'll be 13.8's or so. [8D]

With a good 60' you can hit a high 13. Its the driver mod.

What was your 60"? A good 60" will net you a 14.0x with a stock car... if you could pull a 2.0 i'd say you'd be right in the 13's... It's really not bad of a time... It just takes getting use to the car. A tune would help of course, but I would invest the money in some suspension. d/r, LCA and subframes - drag springs will hurt your ride, but they will really help on the track too.

Now you're getting picky. Most people care about the 60' time...but the 5' time... Wow.

Drag racing is easy to learn and very hard to master. Practice a bit more and you'll drop the 60' time, shifting time, and most likely get into the 13's.

You can get a 13.99 out of the car easily with just drag radials. I hit a 13.9@99 with just an intake, tb/plenum, 3:73, a cat back and nitto drag radials. For your first time, the times aren't that bad. Just practice more.
