Default Air silencer
I was told to take the air silencer off my GT but isnt it drawing in cooler area by having it on?

what cooler air its drawing in doesnt offset the fact that your entire engine is sucking in air through a 3 inch snorkel - take it off and be happy with your free 2 hp

yeah it kinda is like a snorkel. you will get better results from the mod do it.

Just did it myself today on my new '00 GT ... lil noticable sound on WOT ..more of an intake sound than a exhaust sound... and i lil noticable HP gain...but I might just be imagining it

Well an intake change wont change an exhaust sound?? And you wont feel 2 rwhp its hard to feel 10 rwhp.

You can trim the snorkel at an angle and still have it pull air out of the fenderwell.

Just buy one of those intake on Ebay... the chrome ones... and buy a really good filter... all together should only be like 60 bucks
