Default V6 To V8

How much work is involved to transplant a 4.6 into a 6 cyl, 01 5 sp car? I found several guys wanting to trade me much nicer v6 stangs for my gt, and im thinking about doing it but i may want to convert it back to a v8 again. Do you just have to change the engine and get a computer for a 4.6 out of a junkyard or is there more to it? Thanks, Robert

its not worth it, if you go in the right direction, with the same amount you spend on a swap, you could have the 6er runnig low/mid 13s

You want to trade someone your GT for a v6.. and then do a GT engine swap?

i can trade for a really nice v6 plus some cash for my fox project but i may want to convert it over to v8 sometime, but maybe not. What kind of gas mileage does the v6 stang get? It is a 2000, 5 sp. Thanks, Robert

The V6 may be a nice ride but after the novelty of it (being nice) you will miss the V8 surely.

Then, what it costs to switch it over to a V8 (time and money) you could take the same (time and money) to make your ride sweeter than the V6.

In my opinion of course.
