Default Royal Purple vs Mobil 1

Royal Purple or Mobil 1 and why..

here is some reading that may help

http://www.dodgetalk.com/forums/arch...p/t-25021.html

http://www.royalpurple.com/arta/arta.html
The reason for the question is because my local advance auto parts store now keeps RP in stock. I've been using Mobil 1 and am considering switching but i'm a little scared to.

Any good information to back your opinion would be greatly appreciated.

I put Mobil 1 5w30 in both my mustang and my wife's Nissan Titan. Great product. Can't say i really noticed a difference in hp or gas mileage. But i like not having to change the oil for 7000 miles. Plus both engines rev smoother and move up and down the rev-band faster.

Why not? I'm pretty sure that if your motor was to mess up that if you could prove that it was the oil that caused the damage then mabey you would have a case? I mean why put that you can go 7000 between oil changes in the container if you really can't do it? Have you had a bad experience with Mobil 1 or any other synthetic oil for that matter? I mean why not use it for what it's intended for? Might as well just use regular 5w30 instead of synthetic. Not trying to be a punk or anything just want to know your reason?

I`ve been using mobil 1 for a long time. No complaints. Royal purple and mobil 1 are pretty much equal. They are both very good. Use either one and you`ll be fine.
