I read last week that the production version of car will be ready for the show tour next year, but the car will not go into actual production till August 04 as an 05. I am woundering if the 04's are going to be the same as the 03's or will they extend the 03' production year and skip 04' all together. As for the engine and brake and glass top two seater configuration ect. are show car items only. The GT is to be a 4 seater with solid top on the fastback with similar looks to the show car we all saw this year, just toned down abit. As for the engines I understand that the mach 1 will have the same engine set up it has now and GT is not desided yet, maybe Mach 1 dual cam motor less the shaker or the curent GT motor.It will be likely that the first ones out are going to be very $$$$$$ I bet its spring 05 befor the average joe can get any kind of deal on one.

2004 will be a limited production year as Ford is slowing down production on the stang to build more F150's. When the 2005 comes out in late 2004 the GT will be a 300 horsepower 4.6 No S/C. That is going to be saved for the 06 Cobra. Ive already got my $$$$ down one one and am patiently waiting it out.

lloyd, where and how did you put your money down on one already? i'm saving my money, but if i can put it down on the vehicle now to reserve it, that'd be great.

no major changes for 2004. waiting for 05 is what I heard.

No cobra until 2006 again.

I'm glad I snatched one this year.

I'll probably keep it and also get another when they have proven something better.

Ford said the Boss Mustang is not going into production. And no one knows for sure how much horsepower the GT will have becuase Ford didn't let the powertrain info leak out to the public.

It's true, if you go back and read the debut editions of Motortrend and C&D the details differ on what the '05 will actually have under the hood. I am holding my breath for that 300 bhp.

2004 is gonna be the same model cause this year theres a rare cobra color metallic blue and i saw pics, its the same style gotta wait one more year guys i know it sucks

The 2005 mustang is going to be coming out late 2004 i heard by the ceo or something of Ford i saw it its badass i think it is comin out with 400 horses and the same new (ol' school) front will be on the F-150's so the new mustang is probably coming out late next year. And there is one more new cobra coming out if not already out the Mystic Cobra same as the 03' but chameloen paint and i think thats about it.
