Default SSS catback vs. Borla Stingers

Now I've heard that the SSS sounds very similiar to the Stingers. They are also a fraction of the cost. The question is, though, is the quality is good? I believe the SSS can be had for $300 and the Stingers are almost $600. Both are stainless steel, mufflers straight thru design, and the tips are big 3.5" and rolled. Should I be save and save for the Stingers, or try the SSS (Stainless Steel Systems) exhaust?

Well as far as bolt ons the catback is the only thing I'll do. I'm keeping the midpipe and manifolds stock. I think the Borla has T-304 stainless steel which is superior to the 409 I think. Also I hear the SSS is a bitch to install and is more prone to leaks than the Borla. So, I dont know we'll see.

The SSS is a pain to install, but with a little time it more then makes up for the 300 bucks in price diff from the stingers!

I love the way it sounds

I have stingers, I'm yet to hear a catback that has the 'same' sound...

but if youre interested in the SSS catback, try and seek someone out that might have it,,
and see whta you can find out

howerver, i have never once regretted the 520 i paid for the stingers.. actually, i just enjoyed it some more about ten minutes ago

I've had Borla on some my previous vechicles and I loved em., great sound and unmatched quality. However if these SSS are the same sound/quality and half the price, then I could use the extra $300 for a short throw shifter and tinted windows. Unfortunately SSS is a new company so I doubt anyone in my area has the exhaust. I've only heard 2 clips and those clips have aftermarket H pipe and headers, etc. I don't have a clip of JUST the catback to compare to the Stingers.
