I just want to see what you guys think... I have a stock 00 gt (havent modded it yet) and someone wants to race me with a fox 5.0 with exhaust, ud pulies, and CAI. I took him for a ride in my car.. i ran through 3 gears.. He proceeded to tell me that he would have a couple cars on me.

I find this really hard to believe. I'm not doubting he could win (I kinda think it would be a drivers race) but a couple cars? He has to just be blowing smoke.

Just race him and show him what 4.6's are made of.

Oh, im definatly going to race him.. I really don't care. I was just wondering because I don't know the 5.0's very well I thought they were much slower than the new 4.6's

do you atleast have the snorkal removed on your intake? if you don't then i sugest that you do that and buy a K&N. Are you auto or 5 speed?

Those fox body are faster than you think. If you are stock and he is not watch out, they are much lighter than yours.

i think youd smoke him...they have alot of tourqe so they feel fast but they are nothing like the new gt's

LOL I drove a friends '92 fox with the same mods you said this guy has and that car was a great bit slower than mine. It was also a 5 speed like mine and I thought he was kidding when he said he thought it was fast. He is still in the mid 15's at the track. I dont think you will have a problem at all.

i think you will kick his butt. i have a vertible automatic, and i raced one with exhaust and pullies, and i beat him, EASILY, no disrespect to the foxs', i still love em
