DO THESE CARS HAVE A KNOCK SENSOR?
Does anyone knoe if these cars have knock sensors? How about the SCT, can it log knock? Speaking of the SCT I did not get a manual with mine and was wondering if there is one even available. I have a nice race tune in my SCT but would like to run it with 93 octane but without the proper data I am afraid to. Can't afford 100 octane every tank. Would like to datalog if it's possible. A knock sensor from the factory would be of great benefit. Even reading the O2 voltage would help but which O2 would be used for that!
With the time I have spent here and searching it is obvious that the 2v is VERY limited for making power as it sems Ford did a good job with this one! A power adder sems the only way to get 12's safely and without tearing the motor down. Thanks as always, Mark

As for the last part I don't really think it's a case of Ford doing a good job, rather they made the best of what they had. The 2v's don't make power N/A because of very poorly flowing heads. This was done as a packaging compromise so that the engine would fit into many different vehicles and have parts that interchange with different size engines.

RE: DO THESE CARS HAVE A KNOCK SENSOR?
Well I found a sheet explaining some of the SCT features. Says that by the end of 2005 the user should be able to datalog on the handheld screen. I am not computer literate so I would need help with what they are saying. Says "This feature will allow you to view real-time data of PID and DMR values on the screen of the XCalibrator2". Someone please let me know what PID and DMR stand for? Like it would be cool if PID meant Personal Input Data.
Being able to read O2 voltage would be a crude way to see if the tune was operating in a safe zone. Sweet
