Default Engine Coolant

i need to replace my engine coolant today, first time ive ever done it on a car. the cap on the reservoir says "16psi. dont open see manual" obviously its pressurized. but i dont have an owners manual. any special things or tips to take into consideration before i spew boiling coolant in my face?

Its only pressurized when the engine has been run. Let the engine cool and then you can take the cap off.
