i know there are some vortech systems who's intercoolers enter and exit the same side (05 gt?), you'd just have to fab it up and im sure there less expensive then a one off custom piece

for a procharger on a 04 gt is there any reason why you wouldnt want to run an i/c that entered and exited the same side. I think it would clean up the engine bay and use less piping, any reason why you wouldnt go this route?

Top to bottom intercoolers have different cooling properties than side to side intercoolers. If I remember correctly, side to side have less of a pressure drop whereas top to bottom have more. I did a lot of research on this when I had a GSX. Top to bottom *usually* have better flow and side to side have less of a pressure drop. There was a great website that if I come across again, I'll post it for you. I ended up deciding that a side to side was a better choice but I was also running a smaller turbo.

0.2~0.5psi@15psi from the site...that doesn't seem too unbearable, right?

No. That's pretty normal. I don't know what kind of setup you are running but that should be fine for any non drag queen.
