RE: Dyno results for the JLT true CAI...
From one dumbass to another, please note that the link YOU provided in your first post in the thread clearly shows pics of a underhood model. Several times the heatshield is mentioned in Modularfords link YOU posted. The whole thread on ModFords is about an underhood model. THOSE ARE FACTS YOU PROVIDED!!!!!!!!!
FYI, my first drag strip experiance was in 1972, several years before you were born. I have learned a couple of things over the years. My current 2001 Gt has over 150 pass on it and runs quite well for what it is.
BTW if anybody on this or any other board thinks a CAI on a 99+ 2V GT can net +18rwhp @ 5500, then they are on drugs or just plain uninformed.

I was gonna ask the same thing. How is it a true cold air intake when its sucking all the heat in from under the hood. Not only does it not make sense but it doesnt LOOK like it makes sense. But I guess we will have to see the results.

I think that setup will absolutely rock at the track, because the filter is right there where the headlight can be removed, but for street use I don't see it being as helpful as a densecharger.
Do you know if those results were made with the headlight in and the hood down, or with the hood up on the dyno?

the hood was up... the temp outside that day was just as hot and really humid. which ever one works the best is the one that will be on my car. like i said, i will post the results the day we dyno test these....

i want to apalogize to JAYC for being an ***. there was no need for the comments i had posted. i know its hard to believe that someone gained 18hp from a CAI, trust me i wouldn't either. i saw it and i am impressed. thats why i will test all three intakes he has made.
again i apalogize

true, you getting "cooler" air and more of it when the hood is up. it makes sense. even still, you can take 6hp off of 18 and still have a 12hp gain with a CAI... i am going to wait and see what it does on my car. this guy has caught so much **** for his intake. its all people that say it not possible. ****, the one he made for the 03 cobra's made huge numbers. somewhere along the lines of 25hp. no one believed him then either.. but i will tell you that alot of people are buying his intake and love it.... we'll just have to wait and see on the 15 of sep.
