IS THERE SOMETHING WRONG WITH MY CAR??!!!
I have a 2004 mustang gt 5 speed and I drive city all the time. I only get about 230 KILOMETERS to the tank. My car only has 5600 KILOMETERS on it. But the previous owner I bought it from got into an accident, front bumper and driver side door damage, and is titled as a rebuilt. Does the Car need a tune up or something because i've been reading and a lot of you guys get around 300 MILES to the tank and over. By the way I've never driven it hard yet, I dont shift past 2000 RPM. Thanks

I drive about 75% highway 25% city, and get +400 kilometers to a tank. That is, I usually fill it up when the gauge shows 1/4 full so, I might get +500 km's from the whole thank.
Yea your car has a problem, especially if you're not even racing it & get such crappy mileage. Any chance you've got a fuel leak? Any chance you have a neighbor siphoning out your gas during the night?

On my old 01 GT when it was new I got around 300 kilos to a tank. After 15,000 kilo's on the odometer i was averaging around 450 kilos per fill up. Shifting under 2000 rpm and lugging the engine might be your problem. Bring it up to 2500 especially between 4th and 5th. You'll probabley notice an increase in fuel mileage after the motor has a few more kilos on it.
I friggn' hate the metric system............................
