now, im torn between a ls1 f body and a 99-04 gt id much rather have the mustang but id rather have the speed of a ls1. theres a ls1 im going to look at tomorrow and a mustang im going to look at tomorrow. lets say i buy the mustang
what am i going to have to do to it to make it beat a ls1 and how much will that cost? (cheapest way)
i know that its a stupid question to ask but :-/ also, no 4:10s or nitrous uless NEEDED really use 4:10s as a last resourt but i know they're a must

Get a Mustang man, would hate to not see you on the forums, your little construction guy avatar waving is cool! Seriously if I was going for purely performance I'd go with the LS1., however I have a soft spot for the Mustang. I just love the way it looks compared to the f-bodies.

alrighty, assuming your staying away from superchargers (not very cheap) basic bolt ons, CAI, TB, plenum, headers, mid-pipe, exhaust alone should put you well ahead...some one could fine tune a list for u, but thats the basics
if u do decide to go over to the dark side, make sure its above 98...those have aluminum blocks

Dude, go for looks... speed wise, LS-1 is faster from a roll... but i beat an SS the other day from a stop all the way to the end of 4th gear and i only got a 1 car jump on him from a stop... he didnt hardly gain on me at all.
Its all opinion... granted the LS-1 has much much more potential N/A wise... the only way to see big improvements on 2v is boost/nitrous.
When you look at the F-body, make sure you sit in it, see if you can get comfy, i know i get very comfortable in my GT... F-body's feel... alot lower then a mustang... you just feel like your on the ground... I love everything about my mustang.. and ive never heard an LS-1 that sounds better then a 4.6.... I have a freind with an LT-1 that sounds good. but my freind with an SS sounds like crap... again.. get what you want.

I looked at both and i got the mustang, the mustang fit me better, its smaller, looks better IMO it might be a quite bit slower but I dont have to be the fastest on the road yet...im only 18....if ur gna drag race alot get the ls1.
