Default Stock gears??

What read end gears do a 2002 GT come with? I don't know what mine has. Just bought it about a month ago. I am guessing stock. Next question is if I upgrade, what's good. Don't want to go too radical. My 67 fastback hums down the highway and I have 3.55 in it. Looking for something that will give me decent pickup but not make the ride uncomfortable or noisey.
Got a question on coolant while I am at it. I looked in the manual but couldn't find anywhere
when coolant should be changed. I don't know if it ever was. How often should I change it? Its got 36K miles on it.

3.27 but if you don't want to go to radical then you can go 3.73's but you will wish you had 4.10's after you do install it depends on what kind of driver you do more of read up on some of the stickies on top about gears

3.27 if you ahve a five sped, and like 2.7something for auto, if you have a 5 speed, and dont wanna go radical, you could get 3.90's right between the 3.73 and 410, so it's like ... semi radical

I don't care about gas mileage. I do mostly highway driving. Are the 3.90 or 4.10's noisey or do they make the ride rougher. How about coolant? Should I flush mine?

it wouldn't hurt to change it at this point just for your own satisfaction I'm going to do mine when I take it back out in spring time. FRPP gears are the way I would recommend no noise if they are installed right. As far as the gears go your going to want to do something less than 4.10's I would suggest because you do a lot of highway driving and your rpms are going to be up higher at cruising speeds ya know what I mean and if you have a loud exhaust it will get obnox. 3.73 sounds like the way to go. Do you go to track at all/planning to etc?I had richmonds on my IROC and they where very whiny. I'm not sure about motives though someone else can chime in

No track for me. No time. If I did, I would take my 67. Just want better pickup, thats all. Thanks for the advice. Oh, one more thing. Limited slip diff. worth it? I know it would double the cost of parts. Got it on my 67.

Unfortunately I can't do it myself. Would save a ton I know but I don't have the equipment. I wouldn't trust myself anyway.
