Actually an offroad x-pipe would cost considerably more than welding in some pipe. Cut the pipe with a hacksaw (doesnt take long at all, i used one on my cutlass because i couldnt get the plasma cutter or sawsall in there), 6 bucks for the pipe at home depot or lowes, measure and cut the pipe to length yourself, and no more than 40 bucks for a muffler shop to weld the pipes in. If you lived around me, id do it for free.
Hmm, I always thought it would be more to have a shop do it. I still would by an O/R H pipe. A welded up midpipe looks like ***. But, if your are short on money, cutting the cats would be an economical solution.

BTW your stang is damn good lookin. I am getting some DD black cobra rims with a polished lip for xmas and seeing your car with the black bullits makes me think of how sweet its gonna look when I get my wheels on.

Lol dont mean to keep controdicting you, but the welding they do actually looks good, if they're reputible. Have them weld on a piece of sheet metal for you before hand. Just ask, they'll do it. You'll know a good weld from a bad one. And thanks man, appreciate it. Putting those bullitts on was probably the most satisfactory mod ive done to it to date. Get me some pics of those rims and i can photoshop em on your ride if you want.

Thanks man.

Here is the link to the ebay auction, there are multiple angles there.

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/17-9-...50552653QQrdZ1

This, unfortunately is the only side profile picture I have of my car. (they are dealer lot pictures from the ad I bought it from. the quality is not too great)

If its not much more work, would you be able to show me what it would look like with a 1.5 inch drop?

Thanks for your help.

The primary cats are gonna be a bitch to cut out becuase they are right on the bend and itll be near impossible to replace it with pipe. The secondarys are easy maybe just try that and then punch out the primarys. Thats what i did way back when i first got my car. Ran straight pipe in place of the secondarys and when it was apart i punched through the primarys.

you could always try removing the exhaust, putting a waterhose through each pipe, soak the cats, turn your **** on, and watch the material fly out your exhaust, buuut, that's what my import buddy does, not sure if it works on mustangs.

BBK offroad x sounds good tho fyi.

You can pick up an o/r h or xpipe for 150 bucks... I picked up mine for 90 bucks used. The aftermarket pipes are made much better, and still sound better then the stock one, even with the cut cats.... Like I said before go to mustangexhaust.com - you can hear all the different brands of exhaust on there.,
