Default JERRY RIGGIN???

My car needs a blower. But I have a pre 99 wit tha headswap. So that makes my compersion ratio a bit high. (From wut i hear unfriendly for boost). So is it possible to use some thick a$$ gaskets to make the compersion ratios to drop??????? To make it boost friendly. (*** you can tell i dont feel like changing the bottom end).

Dude... People put blowers on PI motors all the time. Ask GreyGhost... He just did it and he loves it from what I hear. No need to change the compression unless you absolutly want to.

I don't see you being able to drop the compression by more than a couple points with thick headgaskets - and that would suck to go through all that trouble over again. You can still supercharge, but I wouldn't advise running more than 5 or 6 lbs - maybe a real good tuner could get you more, safer, if you intercool - but no way more than 8 and thats really pushing it. I wouldnt be afraid of running 6 lbs though, and thats still good for probably about 75 hp or so on your car.

Dude.... that just it, it is PRE 99, (as stated before). which means it dosent have as deep of a dish in the pistons. So by switching my heads it boosts the compersion ratio up. (alot higher that that "PI motors".

MD, thanks for the reply. So it is possible? Also you SEEM to know alot bout blowing (lmao no pun intened). With tha atmosphic jib jab. So i have another question. With me running less lbs of boost on a engine with more compression would this give me the equivlant horse power to a engine running more boost but less compression???????

THANKS, MONTY

Well it kinda does, but ultimately you won't be able to run as much timing or a better fuel curve as a lower compression motor.

There's some dude on another forum running 10# of non-intercooled vortech boost on a PI swapped stang... lol but he was called unintelligent to say the least - apparently he had the $$ to pay for a new shortblock though...

LMAO....so he blew it up???

So I could be staying with blown 99+'s but the further we go in to it the further they pull away?
