ORIGINAL: akelemecz

A forged internals kit .. pistons .. rods .. crank etc.. 1200-1500 and about another 1000-1500 to have it installed...
Rings, gaskets, fastners, oil pump, yadda yadda yadda.

Its all in there. I have priced up what you get in the shortblock assemblys vs what you can do with your used block and a rotating assembly and you just don't get away much cheaper than 2500-3000 either way.

It sucks, but its true. I have more than enough acess to free assembly of a shortblock, but once you piece together everything you need to be 500+ WHP capable it ends up costing you the same.

I payed $6820.00 for the forged pi longblock and install, changed motor mounts, water pump, had to get new intake and flywheel also.

If i were you i would look into Vortech/Procharger and see which one you like better... Then get it

After all is said and done, then look into anything else you feel that you need, such as brakes and stuff.
