TSB for my tranny! YEAH!
Finally got word Ford released the TSB for the Tremec 3650 1-2 grind on upshifts. Went to the dealer today and waited and waited and waited until she could find the TSB. (She kept looking under engine, and not drivetrain).
My car isn't doing everything it saids it should be but a quick talk with the service manger and I got her schduled for sept 7th. I can't wait, no more 1-2skips shifts in the morning!!

Yup, tranny is coming out, it'll take 30-45 mins of seperate labor to have that done.
What are the symptoms they need to replace?
My car will simply NOT shift into 2nd gear when it's under 50 degree's. No chance in hell. It will grind and bounce right out.

They will replace the 1-2 syncro and gear and something for 2-3 too. Mine will go into 2nd but because it grinds when it is cold I just skip it. Probably would be worse if I didn't skip it.

Rebuilding it...hah.
I don't trust incompetant mechanics here. I'm going to take a trip to a local Ford dealer and ask how they plan on repairing it. I know for a lot of warranty work they normally don't do inhouse (exhaust) they have a deal with a shop somewhere else. If they send it off to a specialist I'll have it done.
Thanks for the info. Did you see my reply about the picture in my thread?
