Umm for the first part, yes typically a manual will dyno higher stock than an automatic since the manual experiences less parasitic loss through the drivetrain. As for what the Z28 would dyno at, I have no clue.

manual=less resistance Clutch=straight drive train(clutch pretty much=reversd brakes), Torque converter=pretty much a fan trying to push another fan through oil. and not only does the toque converter drain power, but milage too, not much, but manuals typcally get 1-2 miles per gallon better than autos.

the z28 has an ls1 i believe. 350 hp on the fly. usually between 290-310 rwhp.

I thought the LS1's have about 335hp at the flywheel. But yeah 290-310 sounds right regardless.

ls1 fbodys dyno 300+ rw, and when it comes to fbodys im pretty sure they dont have the problem with the hp loss through a auto like us stangers do. idk if im right but thats what ive heard from my fbody friend.

autos are better for the track lets not forget.

I was on a camaro site, and they said that they put down less % horsepower then we do, in other words that they do lose more hp through the drivetrain then we do percentage wise, however their suspension setup is also superior to ours for draggin.
