I dont know what would be good for autoX cause im not really sure what it is..but from what iv read from a post code did gears all effect ur fuel economy equal so u dont really need to be concered about that.

RE: Which Gears?
I had a 96 GT and put 3.73s in it, and regretted that move. I would suggest going with at least 4.10s. A friend with a 98 GT did that after I got my 3.73s and that is what made me wish I had went with them.

RE: Which Gears?
I think that 3.55's or 3.73 is goin to be good for auto cross, but im not really big into autocross - i think 3.90's and steeper (4.10, 4.30, etc) will be to steep for the autocross im thinking... im sure someone will chime in with good advice.
brandasman - you will learn that 4.10's aren't the best gear for a lot of setups.

Maybe im thinking that steeper gears make it harder on traction and unless your car is straight with that steep a gearing and that much power being applied at one time, may spin you out?

RE: Which Gears?
they're both good points.. that's why I think 3.73 would be a great gear for a N/A car for auto cross, I just think 4.10s are to steep for autocross, they're to steep for most drag cars...
