motor oil

RE: motor oil
There is NO comparison. Full synthetic absolutely blows any other oil formulation out of the water. Synth blend only buys you some synthetic additives with conventional oil. Not the same thing as full synthetic. I go with a full synthetic PREMIUM oil, Royal Purple. I have Royal Purple in my engine, rearend and transmission. The car runs excellent with this set up. Changing to Royal Purple and installing the new E3 spark plugs now have me running a combined city/highway of 20 mpg on pump 87. Can't ask for much more than that in a 4.6 SOHC GT.

RE: motor oil
I have ran nothing but Pennzoil full synthetic in all of my cars, past and present. My daily driver, a 1998 Explorer, has 160,000 miles on it and never had any problems, my wife has a 2003 V8 Explorer, no problems, and the Mustang. I had a 1994 Thunderbird Super Coupe before the 1998 Explorer, and I put 140,000 miles on with no issues.

RE: motor oil
if you start running full sythetic, dont go back to conventional off and on, once you go sythetic you never go back (for good reasons), plus full sythetic throughout your drivetrain can free up hp...btw i run mobil 1 full sythetic
