Default Maintenance?

Well as most of you know I just got my car last week. Its a 5 speed 2k GT with 65k miles. Is there any maintenance work you guys suggest I do? I already have a K&N filter and using Royal Purple oil.

At about 60k, you might want to replace the spark plugs. Also check the belts and hoses for cracks, change your transmission and rear end oil, and not sure when it's technically supposed to be done, but maybe flush the cooling system. Take a look at your brake pads also to see how much you have left. Do all that and you'll have a fresh start with your car. Oh yeah, and check the fuel filter to see if it needs to be replaced. If it wasn't done before you bought it, or you're not sure, change the oil just to be safe.

Definatly change the oil, even if whoever had it before you said they did. Do it anways. If your not using Mobil 1 Synthetic, go ahead and put that in it (just dont ever change oil brands again unless you have to for some reason). USA hit it on the head, so do everything he was talking about. If the coolant hasnt been flushed then go ahead and do it. Its recommended at around 55K miles.

He doesn't. It's just a bullsh*t myth about synthetic oil.

All the myths and rumors about synthetic oil **** me off.

1) YOU DO NOT need the FLUSH KIT.
2) You can switch back to conventional oil anytime, but why would you ever do that?
3) I just farted.

Well I already changed my oil with Royal Purple 5w-30, also I used a K&N oil filter. Then I flushed radiator and put in Ford coolant with Waterwetter. Then I used Redline fuel injector cleaner. Im looking into changing spark plugs, whats a good brand to get?

Why does everyone get so defensive so quick on these forums? It was just my opinion, he asked me what I would do and i told him, I didnt mean anything about the bs rumors or anything... All I was saying was that I wouldnt ever change from Mobile 1 unless for some reason I had to just because I really like that particular oil... god d*amn...

Good job! Also change the tranny fluid and replace with a good synthetic.

For the plugs, get the Iridium plugs.
