imo if your to dumb to the answer to that you shouldnt buy a kb j/k
Are you kidding? Cobras have 4 valve heads, cams designed for F/I& forged internals on top of a factory configured blower. I'd be really curious what the answer to this question is.
I'd be surprised you could stick a KB onto aslightly modded2v engine & smoke a terminator... Does anyone really know the answer & not just guessing(ie, they've actually seen a Stock cobra vs KB 2v race eachother).
I've never raced a stock one but I've raced one that had the pulley swap, full exhaust, cai, tb and a custom tune with drag radials. The IRS rear killed him and I ran off and left him every time. Those are some sick motors but junk rear suspension for drag racing.

You should be able to take em. You gotta remember a Cobra coupe weighs almost 400lbs. more than a GT coupe. I've beaten them, andI drive a GTVert. The Cobra still outways me by 235 lbs.
My 373's help too.

When I had my termy me and another member of this site raced. I had DR's and he had Street tires. He has a procharged 99 cobra and had a 04 cobra with DR's and a catted x pipe. This was us running. He would catch and pass me right when I hit mid 3rd gear. http://videos.streetfire.net/search/...1b010dc672.htm
and here is my 1/4 mile run. All I had done at this point was a catted x pipe. http://s70.photobucket.com/albums/i1...atthetrack.flv
Did anyone read the post on the 12 sec 2v gt on a budget? If you followed that and actually ran a 12.4 then you would smoke a stock cobra without a kenne belle. Just my .02.
In a drag race (from a dig)yes, in a roll race it still would be nowhere close, so which one are we talking about here
Just because you have the biggest penis doesn't mean she'll like it.
lol.. victor has a point..
first.. a lot has to do with the driver of the car.. a faster car can loose a race because of the driver not being as good. second.. cobra's are nice.. no denying that but 2v's are still kick ass.. (see victor's build... that is going to be onebadass cobra killer..) but yes a 9lb intercooled KB on a GT would have just a little bit more hp then a stock cobra and it is a bit ligher and so mechanically it should win in a race .. but again.. it has a lot to do with the driver's abilities.
I beat an exhaust only Terminator in an 1/8th mile run in my Procharged GT (just under 10psi) by 4 tenths of a second. I wish I could find the timeslip. The added weight of the Cobra + IRS (junk for drag racing) = his demise. If he had a SRA and a pulley swap I prolly would have lost. This is with my 3.27 gears. His time was an 8.7x and mine was an 8.3x or something. It's been several weeks. I would have done better but bogged horribly off the line.
