Hey I just put a BBK CAI on my stang and at about 2000 rpm it makes a whistling sound, and also makes a gasping sound when I turn the car off. I had the same CAI on my 99 and I dont remember it doing that. Should I recheck all the clamps or is that expected?

my buddy told me today that if you put metal mesh/grate over the filter it will whistle.. is this true? my other friend had a CAI on his lt1 fbody and it sounded like a freakin supercharger whistle(at idle and low load).

Im not complaining about the sound,it sounds kinda good. Not like a supercharger though.

I had a MAC straight shot CAI and it whistled in low RPMs when I am slightly on the throttle... Now I have a C&L cold air intake and it does the same damn thing... I hate it, I always get asked. Is yoru car supercharged? Even last time I was at the drag strip someone said.... "well your car's supercharged" man that pisses me off. My cars slow, its just disgraceful to be as slow as I am and then people think I have a supercharger on top of that.[:@]

As for that video, thats funny ****! I want to buy that peice and stick it in my friends tail pipes and they will not know whats wrong with there cars. lol
