I changed my spark plugs on my 96 gt 4.6 liter, and now the engine sounds very wierd, i think its misfiring, does anybody out there know how to adjust the timing of the plugs? i went to a pep boys and i did the engine diagnostic, they told me the timing spark plugs needed to be adjusted, i want to try to do it myself cuz i dont feel like paying them foos. thanx

i doubt its your timing, i would make sure you gapped all the plugs correctly and make sure you put the wires back in the right firing order

I agree with tjs57tpi. Changing your plugs wouldn't normally cause your timing to go out of adjustment. Are you using motorcraft plugs? If you are having problems I would recommend going with OEM plugs. If you are using Gimicky plugs like splitfire and the others get rid of them Theytend to cause nothing but problems. If it idled ok before the plug change you should remove the plugs, regap them, and check to make sure the plugwires are connected in theproper firing order, and theyhave a good connection...
