Launching with 4.10s
I am curious what people with the 4.10s are launching at. I am curious for both street and strip launching and what tires you are running.
I have 285 Nitto 555s (will be upgrading to the 555Rs next time) and before the gear swap I could handle a launch up to about 3k fairly well on the street. So I am asking for some insight as to what would be good with the 4.10s. I have no track expierence yet so I wanted some opinons before I go to the track in about a week and a half with my brother a SRT 4 owner.
Thanks for any help you can give me

RE: Launching with 4.10s
the best advice I think anyone here could give you is PRACTICE! no matter what people tell you, you still have to practice, after all practice makes perfect. I would try launching at diff rpms and practice feathering the clutch so you dont smoke off those nittos. it just takes a lot of practice to perfect! when you get to the track dont worry about what you are running, just practice your 60' times and go from there!

RE: Launching with 4.10s
I have enough miles on my rear now that I can start to practice alittle, thanks for the advice guys. On my way home from work tonight I played around alittle bit. I did a few low rpm launches with feathering and dumping the clutch but when I tried a 1500-2000rpm range I roasted my tires haha. I still have like a week to get the hang of the gears before the track.

RE: Launching with 4.10s
yeah i had 4:10s but blew my rearend out so i went to 3:73s..i can launch the 3:73s a little better..but with the 4:10s..i did just like mdvaldosta did..it all comes with practice...heck i use to just mess around and put it in 2nd gear and dump the clutch..but that explain why i had to rebuild my rearend and put a new clutch in it so i dont recomend doing that..
