Default 04 Cobra 2.8 pulley upgrade question

I'm planning on getting a 03 or 04 Cobra within the next few months. I was wondering if there's any drawbacks with the smaller pulley? SLP claims 12 psi and a 65rwhp gain. I was also thinking about getting their loud mouth exhaust. What should I watch out before I begin to up the boost on a Cobra?

If I were you I'd get the car first! second do the smaller things before you up the boost...cai, exhaust and things of that nature, then if you feel you must mod more, then you can mess around with different pulleys! however beware, if your going to do a pulley get it dyno tuned and a chip burnt with it!!

Exactly what Silver said.

Cai and a cat-back will put you in the 400 hp range.

And my R&R no slip pulley with Metco Idler put out a max. of 16 psi before dropping off.

You will definately need a tune with a pulley swap.

With a cold air intake and catback you should be right around 400rwhp. Then with the 2.8 pulley and good tune you should be over 450rwhp.
I put down 445rwhp with a bad tune. Should be 460rwhp next time on the dyno.
Nothing really to watch out for when upping the boost, just be sure you get on the dyno to check your a/f ratio, thats about it.
Good luck

That's cool. I heard that MGW is coming out with a shifter for our cars. I have kind of been waiting on that.
