hey JD, advanced timing means higher octane gas, no? Just curious what octane you run being advanced 16 degrees? Do you know what stock timing is off hand...does it differ, mine being a pre-'99 stang?

Get the C&L Maf kit and true flow inlet pipe. Underdrive pullies are also good to free up some ponies. Also a TB/Plenum swap might help ya!

Nope.. On the '02's and up you can only run 14 degrees advanced. The '00 and below can run 16 degrees advanced because of the compression ration difference. '01s and up have 9.4 to 1 and '00 and below have 9.0 to 1.
I was told the stock timing for a '02 was 10 degrees if im not mistaken. Im not sure what it is for 00 and below.
