It really depends on what kind of sound you like. Some people like flowmasters some people like maganpacks you just got to hear them both preferable in real life but if not find sound clips on the internet and listen to them. Magnapacks will give you better performance gains than flowmasters will.

I personally like the sound of the flowmasters over anything else, come spring I'll my 40's series flows. Yea, people will tell you they're old technology, which I guess they are, but who cares, they sound aweomse and are cheaper than magnapacks, tho I think the magnapacks are stainless??? I vote flowmaster american thunder, strictly for tone...but will probably see better performace gains for the packs.

They aren't cheaper than Magnapacks. Big misunderstanding everyone has.

Magnapacks sound downright badass, they make Flowmasters sound like a wet fart.

I thought the packs were somewhere around 450-500 bucks for the cat back? I mean, do you know of a place that sells 'em cheaper, because I'd really like to know. The price is mostly what turned me away from packs...

I've never seen magnapacks for as cheap as flowmasters for the catback or just mufflers. I could be wrong but I have seen flowmaster mufflers for $50 a piece and the American Thunder Catback for $240. Not sure but I've never seen magnaflow or magnapacks for that cheap anywhere I could be wrong though.
Again dont listen to anybody on here only you can decide for yourself what you like the best. Go listen to sound clips and listen to both of them in real life then make up your own mind.

i agree, listen to sound clips...its a personal opinion thing on the difference in the sounds... as far as the flows for 240.00 i almost guarentee they weren't stainless steel. im a firm believer that u get what u pay for... so use ur best judgement, and if you see an exhaust for sale for like 75.00 its probably too good to be true hahaha. good luck with whatever u decide to pick!

Dude you gotta get the packs! I hap flows on my 98 GT, now I have an 04 and decided to try the packs. Best decision I ever made! They sound way better than flows and the 3.5 inch polished tipas are awsome looking. I got mine for 379 from proficientperformance.com. Not sure if they have the same deal now though. Good luck.
