i did this trick and the rpms dropped down to about 1500 2000 rpms and hung there for a bit. and when the car is warm the car idles at about 900 1000 rpms. think it could be a bad tps?

I look mine out a couple days ago after a month. I was tired of the horrible noise it made out of my exhaust and my car stalling and turning off randomly.

In my experience this condition has always been the result of an exhaust leak, and the faster an engine with a leak deccelerates the more it will "gargle and pop".

Other than that this is an excellent write up i will definitely be trying this mod on mine. Thanks

A lot of exhaust system that are straight through mufflers and no cats "gargle & pop". No back pressure usually causes the gargle & pop sound.
