RE: SLP loudmouth
Nanaki, I would asume it depends on if your running cats or not. If you are then yes because all the loudmouths are, are catbacks. To be emmision friendly you have to have the cats on your h or x-pipe. Hope this answers your question.

RE: SLP loudmouth
Not sure how they make the car sound when you're inside driving it, but like i said earlier, i knew a guy with a '97 gt with the loud mouth catback and it was a lot of rasp, esspecially when he booted it. It was throaty and attention grabbing but to me, I like that thick deep tone and the slp just didn't have it. It was thinner and raspy, sounds more like tin cans for mufflers to me. Tho, I better it's a great catback if you're looking for performance gains, but strictly tone wise, wouldn't be my first choice...But yea, it's all about what you like, and it doesn't really matter what people say, as long as you like them. Personally, I love the flow 40's and plan on buying them as my next catback despite a lot of people talk down on them about being old technology and having an annoying drone and so on...Best advice I can give is do you best to find a way to hear them in person...
