im going to buy a blank SCT X Caliber II and need a good shop to take it to get a tune.i need to get a programmer to delete rear o2s and change gear size.Seem efficient to buy a programmer

Alternative Auto Performance. They're in Mt. Clemens. 586-463-0010. Lidio is the owner. http://alternativeauto.com/index.htmlThey did the tune on my '02 after the KB blower was installed. They know their stuff.

Also Livernois Motorsports in Dearborn Heights. http://www.livernoismotorsports.com/main.phtmlHaven't used them for tuning so can't make a personal recommendation.

ahh f livernoise....dont go there. My neighbor has a 96 cobra that is blown and the owner blew it up on the dyno...
i also hear dyno dave is good. I never been there but im sure a lil research should locate his place

go to alternative peformance known nationwide for tuning they've tuned a couple cars i see in magazines

ohh... and i'm getting mine tuned there in a month

if i buy a blank tunerfrom our vendercan i still change my gears and delete rear o2s with it not having any tunes on it?say it can still read codes.OR can i take it there and have them(dyno) chage it all and just give me tune for 94octon with out a tuner?

Don't know anything about the handheld tuners. Alternative Performance burned a new chip for me with all the changes I wanted (like rear o2's eliminated, Trac Control off andchanges to how the auto trans shifts) plus the custom timinig and air/fuel mods necessary to safely max the performance of the blower on 93 octane pump gas. Theyplugged it into the slot in the back of the ECM and away I went.

Best thing to do is call around and ask the tuners what they'll do for you.
