first off you don't need to go faster that 120 mph unless you wanna be charged driving to endanger cuz going that fast you cover alot of ground and your bound to pass a cop especially it must take forever in those slow 98 GT's. Anyway i too am stupid and have gone up to 148 mph in my 01' GT. it depends what gear ratio you have and autos have a higher top speed than standard transmissions. it can cost like 300 bucks from FORD to take away you governor and you can pay 400 bucks for a program tuner that will also do many other things to gain HP and gas mileage. but i suggest you forget about going more than 120 mph and more about how fast you can go in the 1/4
Honestly I don't really care about top speed, but I'd like to know what my car is capable of It doesn't take that long to get to 120 LOL. I just think it's lame that Ford put the governor on the mustangs anyway......oh well. I agree, 1/4 mile times are more important.

I agree with "mom" too LOL but a governor still sucks @$$. I want to decide when to lift.

apparently the 99+ Gts shut down around 150. i don't mind that too much. 150 is goofy fast but 120........sheesh, c'mon.
